How can I find out if a company got government funding in Canada?
Type its name above. We search the award records the Government of Canada publishes for 61 federal programs, plus Alberta and Nova Scotia disclosures, and show the total on record and the programs that funded it.
Is this information public?
Yes. Federal departments publish grants and contributions over $25,000 by recipient name, and we reuse them under the Open Government Licence. Records filed under a person’s name are left out.
Why is a company I know not listed?
Most often because its funding came as a tax credit or a loan, from a program or province we do not cover yet, or under a different legal or numbered name. A missing record does not mean a company was never funded.
Can I see what a company’s funding paid for?
Premium shows each award with its year, amount and the project title the funder published.
