Program Description
Non-repayable contributions of $25,000 to $2,000,000 per project for the purchase and installation of commercially available clean technology in the agricultural sector. Supports reducing greenhouse gas emissions through precision agriculture, renewable energy, and energy-efficient equipment. Standard cost-share is 40%; underrepresented groups (Indigenous, youth, women) receive up to 50%. Total government stacking capped at 85%.

- Energy-efficient heating/cooling systems for agricultural buildings

- Research and development costs (use R&I Stream instead)
- Prototype or custom-built equipment
- General business operating expenses
- Land acquisition or building construction
- Used or refurbished equipment (must be new, commercially available)
- Costs incurred before contribution agreement is signed
- Labour costs for self-installation (unless pre-approved)
- Consultancy fees beyond a reasonable percentage of project costs
- Equipment that does not directly reduce GHG/fertilizer/methane emissions
