Program Description
Government-guaranteed short-term operating loans of up to $750,000 at prime rate for Ontario crop farmers to purchase seasonal inputs — seed, fertilizer, pesticides, and crop insurance premiums. Administered by the Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) with $200M in total government guarantees. Ongoing since 1992.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an Ontario crop producer (sole proprietor, partnership, or corporation)
- Must be in the business of producing eligible commodities
- Must pass ACC credit review
- Must not owe money to the Administrator from past defaults
- Must not owe money to the Crown
