Insider Tip

The employer share is a hard 20% of total internship cost — budget it before applying. Hiring youth facing barriers to employment (women, racialized, disabled, Indigenous, rural/remote/Northern, 2SLGBTQI+) raises the salary subsidy from $20,000 to $25,000, and the separate $5,000 training/wrap-around pot has per-service caps and must be pre-approved by CICan.
