What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
Prescriptive rebates for Manitoba businesses in the commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors that upgrade to energy-efficient lighting. Incentives are paid per unit for DLC-listed or ENERGY STAR certified LED lamps and fixtures, EM-approved LED backlit signs, and lighting controls, with custom categories paid up to $1,000/kW. Applications completed before March 31, 2027 receive a 50% customer bonus on the published incentives.
Eligibility Requirements
- The building must be used in a business (not residential) capacity
- The products must meet the program requirements (DLC listed or ENERGY STAR certified, or approved by Efficiency Manitoba from a spec sheet under the custom categories)
- The installation must meet the Manitoba Electrical Code requirements
- The supplier must be registered with Efficiency Manitoba
- Applications must be approved by Efficiency Manitoba before any materials are purchased or the project is started
- Small businesses may qualify for enhanced incentives through Efficiency Manitoba's separate Small Business Program
