Program Description
NRCan's Energy Innovation Program supports front-end engineering design (FEED) studies for CCUS projects with contributions of $3 million to $7 million, covering up to 50% of eligible costs (75% for Indigenous applicants). Applications are accepted on a continuous intake basis until funding is allocated.
Eligibility Requirements
- For-profit organization, utility, or Indigenous organization validly incorporated or registered in Canada
- Applicant must own or be responsible for the capital investment for the FEED-study assets
- Projects must be past TRL 8 and ready for FEL 3/FEED activities
- Contribution requests must be between $3,000,000 and $7,000,000
- Up to 50% of eligible total project costs (or 75% for Indigenous applicants)
- Project duration up to a maximum of five years
