How to Win

Insider tips, common pitfalls, and what successful applicants look like

Premium
Insider Tip

The Component 1B + 1C pathway is one of Quebec's most straightforward SME digital funding routes. Use an IQ-recognized consultant for the 1B diagnostic — they know exactly what format Investissement Québec accepts, and a poor 1B report can make 1C harder to access. Note that the eligible expenses for 1C are consulting/professional fees for implementation, not hardware purchases. If you need equipment funding, pair with ESSOR Component 2 (capital investment support) or Canada Digital Adoption Program (CDAP).

Success Profile

Quebec SME in manufacturing, food processing, or professional services with 20–200 employees and $5M–$50M in revenue that has already completed a digital maturity diagnostic (1B) and has a concrete implementation plan ready. Company is ready to invest in ERP, MES, automation, or e-commerce platforms with vendors identified and quotes in hand.
