Program Description

A temporary lending-relief programme from Farm Credit Canada for the Canadian agriculture and food industry during the tariff disruption. Access is by conversation with an FCC Relationship Manager rather than an online form, and lending due diligence is carried out on every application.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions founders most often ask about FCC Trade Disruption Customer Support Program

Free
Is this a grant?
No. FCC states plainly that it does not provide funds in the form of grants or other interest-free loans under this programme. Everything here is repayable financing — an additional credit line, a term loan, or a deferral of principal that you still owe.
Do I have to be an existing FCC customer?
Not for the credit line or the term loan — FCC says the programme is for customers and non-customers who meet the necessary lending criteria. The 12-month principal-payment deferral is different: it applies to existing loans, so it is only available if you already borrow from FCC.
Is $500,000 the most I can get?
It is the published cap on the additional credit line. FCC also offers a new term loan under this programme and has not published a limit for it, so the total available to a given borrower depends on FCC's lending assessment. Ask about both.
How do I apply?
There is no online application. Talk to your FCC Relationship Manager, or call 1-800-387-3232 to be connected to your local office.
How long is it available?
FCC has extended the programme until March 5, 2027. Intake is continuous until then — there are no application rounds.
