Program Description
Reimburses BC for-profit abattoirs, meat processors and deadstock collectors for business planning and capital costs to establish or enhance livestock waste tissue collection services in the western Fraser Valley/Metro Vancouver.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a for-profit abattoir, meat processor or deadstock collection operator
- Must be able to service the western Fraser Valley/Metro Vancouver service area (eastward expansion requires Program written approval)
- Must commit to provide collection services for no less than three years
- Must comply with CFIA Specified Risk Material permitting requirements and other provincial/federal regulations
- Must participate in a two-stage Expression of Interest process
