What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
Development grants for emerging Ontario interactive or linear content companies whose owners or lead producers completed an approved Futures Forward or qualifying workshop.
Eligibility Requirements
- For-profit company
- Owner or lead producer completed the Ontario Creates Futures Forward Workshop in 2025, or an approved workshop or course between January 1, 2024 and October 31, 2025
- Project must be Interactive Content or Linear Content
- Project must be new and must not have received and spent other development funding for the proposed phase
- Ontario expenses must account for at least 75% of total budget

Insider TipThe workshop is the gate: you cannot apply without having completed the Ontario Creates Futures Forward Workshop or an approved course, so plan a year ahead. Budget for the balance too — the grant covers at most 75% of eligible costs and at least 75% of the total budget must be Ontario expenses. Completing Futures Forward does not by itself make you eligible for the other Ontario Creates IP Fund programs.
