Program Description
Saskatchewan reimbursement grant covering up to half of eligible product development costs for commercial agri-food processors creating new value-added products from Canadian agricultural inputs.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a for-profit commercial agri-food processor operating in Saskatchewan, paying taxes and with plans to grow in Saskatchewan
- Project must physically transform or upgrade Canadian raw/primary agricultural products or by-products into a new or upgraded value-added product
- Must demonstrate substantial use of Canadian grown or raised agricultural products
- Project work must be carried out through verifiable third-party service providers and/or contractors
- Marketing activities cannot exceed 25% of approved funding
- Stacking with other federal or provincially funded initiatives is not permitted
