Program Description

Regional pitch competitions held across Canada as part of the Startup Canada Tour. Winners advance to national finals and can win prizes including cash, mentorship, and resources to grow their business.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a Canadian-registered startup, founded or headquartered in Canada
  • Must have at least 1 year of operating history generating revenue and/or actively fundraising for Research & Development, and annual revenue between $50,000 and $1,000,000 — pre-revenue businesses are not eligible
  • Must have the intention and ability to export and expand internationally within the next 2 years
  • Must be able to pitch in-person at a regional competition event, or virtually via the Virtual Pitch Competition
  • Business must be at startup or early growth stage
  • Open to all industries and sectors for the National competition and most Tour stops; the Ottawa Pop-up (November 18) is restricted to CPG-based businesses
  • Competition-based - winners determined by judges at regional and national events
