What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
Funds Alberta writers, directors, and producers up to $55,000 per project (up to $70,000 per parent company) across three development stages — pre-development ($15K), first draft ($25K), and final draft ($15K) — for professional-quality, commercial-ready scripts at least 30 broadcast minutes in length.
Eligibility Requirements
- Organization incorporated in Alberta and in good standing with Corporate Registry and Alberta Media Fund
- Application must involve both a writer AND a producer
- Producer must be an Alberta resident
- Projects must be new productions at least 30 broadcast minutes in length
- Not eligible: news, talk shows, game shows, sports, reality TV, pornography, advertising, corporate, video games
