Can I use this grant to pay for an employee to do consulting work for me?
No — the grant covers fees paid to an external third-party business consultant, not in-house staff or the owner's own time.
What happens if the budget runs out before September 20?
The intake closes immediately once the annual budget is exhausted, even if it is before the September 20 deadline. Apply on the first day the intake opens to maximize your chances.
Is this program available in Quebec or Ontario?
No — BBI's CAS grant is exclusively available to businesses in the four Atlantic provinces: New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
Can I apply for both the CAS grant and a BEP loan?
