What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
A one year 2026 pilot that pays half the cost of repairing or preventing vandalism damage to ground-level commercial facades, for businesses and property owners inside the Riversdale Business Improvement District. There are two streams. The Reparative Grant covers 50% of eligible repair costs after vandalism, to a maximum of $2,500 on a facade facing a street or $500 on a facade facing an alley. The Preventative Grant covers 50% of budgeted costs up to $1,500 for measures that reduce the chance of damage, such as shatterproof glass or anti-graffiti coatings. The two streams can be combined, and one building can receive at most $5,500 across the pilot year. Applications opened July 20, 2026, are decided first come first served until the year's funding is gone, and can be filed retroactively for work carried out during 2026.
