Program Description
Rebate programme for Nova Scotia businesses installing energy-efficient products. Pays up to 50% of product costs - the lesser of the per-unit amount in the applicable rebate guide or 50% of the purchase price - through three paths: Before You Buy (mail-in pre-approval), instant rebates at participating distributors, and After You Buy (mail-in within 90 days of purchase). Interest-free financing for up to 24 months is also available. Suits new construction or retrofit projects.
Eligibility Requirements
- Facility/facilities must be located in Nova Scotia to qualify
- Products purchased and installed must be eligible products listed in the applicable Efficiency Nova Scotia rebate guide
- Pre-approval is necessary for rebates over $15,000, datacentres, water heating and solar measures, and any project that requires financing
- After You Buy (mail-in) applications must be submitted within 90 days of purchase
- Heating equipment applications require an AHRI certificate; lighting products require a DLC ID and certification
- New construction lighting projects have not been accepted since June 15, 2025
- A rebate may be received once per product - either as an instant rebate or by mail-in application, not both
