Program Description

Working capital loans of up to $500,000 at a fixed 4% for Prince Edward Island businesses directly affected by U.S. export tariffs. Principal is deferred for the first 24 months, then repaid over five years (seven-year term), and there is no application fee. Manufacturers, processors, producers and distributors involved in export activity can apply until the $10 million program is allocated or March 31, 2027.

  • Manufacturers, processors, producers and distributors significantly impacted by the export tariffs
  • Must demonstrate the business has been directly affected by export tariff increases (for example, increased supply chain costs)
  • Any PEI registered business involved in export activities impacted by tariffs
  • Satisfactory credit rating, and no defaulted outstanding debt obligation on file in the Province's Central Default Registry
