What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
Innovation PEI covers up to 40% of eligible marketing and export-plan costs, to a maximum of $32,000 over 12 months, for Prince Edward Island businesses that make, process or develop goods or services mainly for export in a strategic sector. Eligible work includes market research and strategy, new advertising and promotional materials, e-commerce or digital strategies, trade show attendance, and new export-oriented campaigns.
Eligibility Requirements
- Business located in, registered to do business in, and actively operating in Prince Edward Island
- Must manufacture, process or develop goods or services primarily for export
- Must operate in a strategic sector: aerospace and defence; advanced manufacturing and processing; bioscience; creative and cultural industries; information and communications technology; or renewable energy and clean technology
- First-of-its-kind exportable goods or services in other sectors may be considered
- Not eligible with a defaulted debt on file in the Province's Central Default Registry
- Applicants in default on any reporting, project completion or financial obligation to Innovation PEI are not reviewed until the default is resolved
- Application must be submitted before any financial or legal commitment is made on the project
