- Ineligible industry (food sciences, animal health, and non-human-health applications are excluded)

Commercial-stage life sciences SME (5–500 employees, 2+ years operating) with FDA or Health Canada approval achieved or clearly underway. Manufacturing or scale-up project with defined capital and labour costs. Strong job creation story (both retention and net-new high-skilled positions). Ontario-headquartered with plans to expand domestic production capacity. Not a startup — program targets companies in growth/expansion stage with proven revenue.
