Program Description
Loans of up to $5,000,000 per business enterprise for businesses carrying on business in Nunavut; NBCC generally prefers credit facilities greater than $150,000. Applicants must be unable to obtain bank financing on reasonable terms or be in a community with no financial institution, and must provide security.
Eligibility Requirements
- Business enterprise must be carrying on business in Nunavut and resident in Nunavut.
- Eligible legal forms include a registered/incorporated company, co-operative, partnership, community futures organization, or an individual.
- Must be unable to obtain a loan from a financial institution on reasonable terms, or no financial institution must operate in the community.
- Must be prepared to provide security, such as a mortgage, pledge, personal or general guarantee, or a combination.
