Third, your award is arithmetic — $10 per registered delegate to a $5,000 ceiling — so an accurate delegate estimate is worth more than any narrative. Success Profile

A non-profit association bringing a one-time national, international or qualifying regional gathering to PEI in the shoulder season, with a firm delegate estimate, a banquet or reception already in the programme, no other government department funding the same event, and the ability to float the catering bill until the facility receipt is verified.

Evaluation Criteria

Assessment is criteria-based rather than scored. An application is considered while allocated funds remain if: the funding supports meal costs for registered participants and official guests only (an opening or closing reception, brunch or banquet); the event is not held during July or August and is a one-time event; a non-profit organization is hosting, private-sector organizations being ineligible; funding is not provided from other government sources; and the Province of PEI will be acknowledged at the function as its sponsor. The event must also fall into one of three qualifying types — national or international conference or workshop-based meeting, regional (Atlantic or Maritime) event with at least 200 out-of-province registered delegates, or national or regional sporting event sanctioned by the appropriate national sport governing body. Events that qualify for assistance through other government departments' programs will not normally be considered, with exceptions possible for major cultural or sporting events with demonstrated benefits to the province.
