How to Win
Insider tips, common pitfalls, and what successful applicants look like
Insider TipTalent to Watch is Telefilm's only fully non-repayable production-stage program. The program is explicitly for first-time feature film directors, so once you direct a feature this window closes permanently. Telefilm runs four streams (general, Indigenous, Black/People of Colour, and festival selection) — applying through the appropriate diversity stream can improve odds.
Rejection Pitfalls 5
