Program Description

Tribal Resources Investment Corporation (TRICORP) provides business development loans and non-repayable contributions to Aboriginal-descent clients in British Columbia. Products include the First Citizens' Fund, TRICORP Loan Fund, NRT Equity Matching, and the Aboriginal Business Equity Program.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Business must be Indigenous-owned (at least 51% First Nations-owned for most products; NRT Equity Matching open to all BC First Nations, status and non-status)
  • Aboriginal-descent individuals, groups, partnerships, organizations, communities, co-operatives and corporations
  • New and existing businesses eligible
  • Projects on reserve require written support of the Band Development Corporation
  • Projects involving Band land or resources require Band Council support via BCR
  • NRT Equity Matching available to all BC First Nations (status and non-status) conditional on ACC term-loan approval
  • ABEP for Indigenous clients with viable business plan and other financing in place
