Program Description

An on-farm cost-share incentive program for British Columbia primary production farms and ranches to address risks from Environmental Farm Plans or extreme weather events; per-farm lifetime cap is $100,000 through March 31, 2028, with most 2026/27 categories already closed.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a BC primary production farm or ranch.
  • Must have a valid Environmental Farm Plan, unless applying under Extreme Weather Preparedness.
  • Must be a BC registered business entity, including sole proprietor, partnership, corporation, cooperative, Indigenous economic development corporation, or band-owned business.
  • Must have Premises ID if raising livestock and/or poultry.
  • Must have a GST and CRA business number.
  • Main farmstead must be in BC and file farm income tax in BC.
  • Per-farm lifetime cap is $100,000 from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2028.
  • Most 2026/27 categories closed in March/April 2026; Extreme Weather Plans & Assessments remains open until August 31, 2026 at 4pm PT.
