Program Description
Global program supporting women impact entrepreneurs. Provides substantial funding, personalized mentoring, and access to Cartier's international network. Each edition selects three fellows from each of nine regions, plus three fellows through a thematic award — currently the Science & Technology Pioneer Award, open to women impact entrepreneurs from any country and sector, with identical prizes. Focus on businesses with strong social or environmental impact.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a for-profit business, incorporated at the time of application
- The business must be majority owned by its founders and team members at the time of application
- The applicant must be part of the founding team and own a share greater than or equal to that of each of her co-founders
- The applicant must be a woman and fill one of the main leadership positions, for example CEO, COO, CTO, General Manager, or Managing Director
- Stage: annual revenue between US$50,000 and US$5 million in the last closed fiscal year as of the date of application
- Stage: between 5 and 250 team members (full-time employees, part-time employees, seasonal workers, or contractors)
- Independent entity: the business entity and its finances must be independent from the founder(s), and the business must be an original creation wholly conceived of by the team — not a spin-off or franchise of an existing concept
- The applicant must be at least 18 years of age on the day of the application deadline
- Business must have a demonstrable social or environmental impact mission
- Application must be completed in English at CEFR B2+
- The applicant must commit to participating in the 12-month fellowship program
- Open to applicants from any country (not restricted to Canada)

Insider TipProgram selects for impact entrepreneurs — the social or environmental mission must be central to the business model. Alumni note mentorship and network are more valuable long-term than cash. Check the Stage criterion before you invest 20 hours: you need US$50,000–US$5M revenue in your last closed fiscal year AND 5 to 250 team members, so solo and two-person founders are categorically ineligible. There is no business-age limit — 'stage' here means revenue and headcount, not years since founding. You must be part of the founding team, hold one of the main leadership positions, and own a share at least as large as each co-founder's, and the business cannot be a spin-off or franchise. If you are in deep tech, the thematic Science & Technology Pioneer Award is a second path with identical prizes.

Success Profile
Women-led Canadian for-profit with US$50,000–US$5M annual revenue in its last closed fiscal year and 5–250 team members, majority owned by its founders and team, with the applicant on the founding team and in a main leadership role. Clear measurable SDG-aligned impact, strong narrative in English, under US$2M dilutive funding raised.
Evaluation Criteria
Selection based on: (1) entrepreneurial leadership — applicant's track record, resilience, and growth potential; (2) business model — commercial viability, scalability, and revenue trajectory; (3) impact — measurable social or environmental outcomes aligned with UN SDGs; (4) Cartier values — curiosity, generosity, rigor, respect. Shortlisted candidates undergo in-depth interviews. Impact mandate must be integral to business model, not an add-on.
