Program Description
Ottawa's lead economic development agency, offering the IO Venture Path programs - IO Ignition, Flex, Accelerator and ScaleUp - plus industry-specific accelerators for cleantech, health and other sectors, delivered at little to no cost to qualifying companies.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a startup or early-stage entrepreneur in the National Capital Region (Ottawa-Gatineau)
- IO Ignition: a 10-week bootcamp for entrepreneurs who want to validate a tech startup idea
- IO Accelerator: Canadian-owned company with a headquarters or at least one full-time founder in the National Capital Region, an innovative product-based solution (hardware or software), at least $100K annual revenue OR $1M capital raised to date, and at least 40% YoY growth in revenue or headcount
- IO ScaleUp: same profile, with at least $2M annual revenue OR $5M capital raised to date and at least 20% YoY growth
- Industry-specific accelerators (cleantech, health): must be in the relevant sector
- Must be willing to participate in programming and mentorship
- No cash disbursed - value is entirely in-kind advisory services and network access
