Program Description
Early-stage and scaling life sciences companies in Kingston and Eastern Ontario can receive $10,000 to $100,000 in matching funds for prototype development, regulatory consulting, IP strategy, and go-to-market support.
Eligibility Requirements
- Early-stage or scaling life sciences companies in Kingston and Eastern Ontario
- Must be a Canadian incorporated company
- Operations must be primarily based in Eastern Ontario, or the company must be establishing a location there
- Must be in the life sciences sector
- Projects must focus on prototype development, regulatory consulting, IP strategy, or go-to-market support
- Must leverage validation network partners
- 50/50 matching contribution is required from the applicant
- Helix funding covers a maximum of 50% of total project cost, up to $100,000
- Matching contribution may be cash and/or in-kind; cash contributions are preferred
- All matching contributions must be supported by verifiable documentation (third-party payroll records, cashed cheques, third-party bank statements, or third-party credit card statements)
