Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions founders most often ask about Launch Academy LaunchPad Program

Free
Does LaunchPad give my startup money?
No — it charges you. LaunchPad is a paid membership at $200 CAD a month plus tax with a minimum six-month commitment, or $2,000 CAD a year plus tax. No cash funding is provided.
Is the fee per founder or per company?
Per company. Launch's FAQ answers that question directly and the LaunchPad page footnote agrees, although an older answer elsewhere on the same site still says per person — confirm before you enrol a multi-founder team.
Will Launch take my company at the idea stage?
Not into LaunchPad. Asked whether it takes companies at the ideation stage, Launch points first-time founders building out an idea to its separate Launch Your Startup course, and its own fit list names a business with an MVP and traction.
How long does a decision take?
Within four weeks of applying. Launch does not give reasons for rejections because of application volume, and says that if you have not heard back beyond the four-week window you can consider the application refused.
How much are the startup perks really worth?
Launch quotes three different figures for the same bundle on its own pages: up to $700K, over $300,000, and up to $400,000. The headline components — AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Stripe and GitHub credits — are available directly from those vendors' own startup programs, so price the bundle yourself before enrolling.
