Program Description
Nunatsiavut Government provides annual, one-time, non-repayable cash contributions of up to $10,000 per fiscal year (lifetime cap $25,000) to eligible registered Inuit businesses. The program has a $100,000 fiscal-year budget and runs first-come, first-served on a reimbursement basis.
Eligibility Requirements
- Business must be Inuit-owned — registered on the Inuit Business Registry (IBR) with an IBR#
- Must be a Beneficiary of the Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement (LILCA) with an N#
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be registered on the Inuit Business Registry (IBR) with an IBR#
- Must have a business banking account
- Must be an operational business within the NG fiscal year applied for
- Project costs must be incurred after grant approval (reimbursement model)
