Program Description
Ontario grant supporting innovative training projects for employers and organizations, but the current application period is closed.
Eligibility Requirements
- Ontario employers
- Minister-approved non-college apprenticeship training delivery agents
- Non-profits including Indigenous Band offices and ISET agreement holders
- Professional, industry, or employer associations
- Trade unions
- Municipalities, DSSABs, CMSMs, and hospitals
- Educational organizations may apply as co-applicants
- Primary applicant must be a legal entity, authorized to operate or carry on business in Ontario, with a physical location and actively operating in Ontario
- Primary applicant must comply with the Human Rights Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Employment Standards Act, 2000, and the Building Opportunities in the Skilled Trades Act, 2021
- Primary applicant must maintain and declare WSIB or private disability coverage, adequate third-party COMMERCIAL GENERAL liability insurance (at least $2,000,000 per occurrence, as advised by its insurance broker), and AUTO liability coverage where vehicles are used
- A primary applicant may submit up to three applications per round, and each project and its activities must be substantively different
- Where the project delivers Level 1 apprenticeship in-class training, the primary applicant must be, or partner with, a Minister-approved training delivery agent
- Project partners and subcontractors must be Canadian, with limited exceptions where no Canadian company is available
