1 Contact a SIEF officer Business Development Officers and Account Officers work with First Nation entrepreneurs to access programmes, services and loans. The Indigenous Women Entrepreneur stream has its own Business Support Officers. SIEF's office is in Saskatoon and staff also visit clients and communities across Saskatchewan.

Lending, plus a conditional non-repayable contribution of up to $99,999 of total project costs for an individual application, or up to $250,000 for a community or band-owned enterprise. The Indigenous Women Entrepreneur stream issues a loan and contribution together totalling no more than $25,000.
Who is eligible?
Clients and their business must be based in Saskatchewan and be a registered Status Indian, a majority-owned First Nation business or financial organization, or a development corporation.
Do I need my own money in the deal?
Yes. All Contribution Program applications require a minimum 10% cash equity contribution from the client, and all applicants must secure a business loan from a financial institution for a percentage of their project cost. IWE applicants need a minimum of 5% in cash equity or in-kind contributions.
What does the IWE programme require?
Saskatchewan residency, being a registered Status Indian, and effective control of the business including a majority 51% equity stake. Husband-and-wife partnerships count as 50-50 ownership and are not eligible.
Is there a deadline?
