WeMB combines flexible financing with one-on-one business advisory services, mentorship, and networking — providing a full support ecosystem alongside the loan. Loans can be stacked with the WEOC National Loan Program (already in the catalog) for up to approximately $200,000 in combined financing.
Eligibility Requirements
- Business must be women-owned and women-controlled — 51% or more of legal voting shares held by self-identifying women+ (cis, trans, Two-Spirit, gender-diverse); exactly 50% is considered case-by-case
- Ownership includes sole proprietorships, partnerships, and incorporated businesses
- Business must be based in Manitoba
- Purpose: startup (new business), expansion (existing business growth), or business purchase
- Must demonstrate potential to create or maintain jobs and support economic growth
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident
