Program Description
Xecs Call 6 2026 funds Canadian SMEs for up to 50% of eligible costs on international electronic components and systems R&D projects. The call expects at least 35 person-years of effort and uses a two-stage outline and full proposal process.
Eligibility Requirements
- Canadian SME pursuing electronic components and systems R&D
- Large companies with more than 500 FTEs are not funded
- Non-SME participants may only be supported indirectly as contractors to eligible SMEs
- Project must be an international, industry-driven, technically innovative, application-oriented R&D project covering an essential section of the ECS value chain
- Consortium must include at least two independent legal entities from two Eureka countries
- Project should involve at least 35 person-years
- No partner or single-country consortium may exceed 70% of the project budget
