Program Description
Helps Canadian creative industry companies (artistic craft, audiovisual, design, music, performing arts, publishing and visual arts) expand to international markets through project funding for export-ready content and marketing initiatives.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Canadian for-profit company or not-for-profit organization, incorporated in Canada, exporting content from an eligible creative industry: artistic craft, audiovisual, design, music, performing arts, publishing (books and periodicals) or visual arts (interactive digital media only in combination with one of these)
- Must have creative content developed and ready for sales at the project start date (both streams)
- Export-Ready Stream: your export research and export plan must be fully developed at the project start. Export Development Stream: developing an export plan or market entry strategy is itself an eligible activity
- Applicants must be incorporated in Canada and have content with meaningful Canadian cultural content

- ERS: development costs and/or acquisition of digital or other technologies; professional services or the portion of employees' salaries directly related to the project; travel-related expenses, which must not exceed the rates permitted for travel on government business, in accordance with the National Joint Council Travel Directive; marketing expenses;
- ERS: administrative costs (e.g. general office supplies, mailing, and cloud storage costs), limited to a maximum of 15% of the other eligible expenses;
- ERS: translation and interpretation expenses, limited to a maximum of 10% of the total amount of funding requested from the Export-Ready Stream.
- EDS: Salaries directly related to the project are eligible.

- hospitality and related expenses (e.g. meals and beverages served at an event, catering fees);

- Government led trade mission travel expenses.
