How to Win

Insider tips, common pitfalls, and what successful applicants look like

Premium
Insider Tip

This program is often overlooked because the grant cap ($10,000) seems small — but the application burden is also low, making it one of the easiest London CIP grants to obtain. Stack it with the Façade Improvement Loan if you are also doing exterior renovations. Security cameras must be mounted to the building exterior to qualify; standalone indoor cameras are not eligible.

Premium See what trips up most applicants for this program — and how to avoid it.

Rejection Pitfalls 5

  • Security installations commenced before pre-approval
  • Property located outside the Core Area CIPA boundary
  • Improvements are purely interior (eligible expenses are exterior-facing)
