Program Description
Eight annual $10,000 cash awards for Canadian entrepreneurs aged 18–39 with pre-launch or part-time side-hustle businesses (under $25K annual sales, under 30 hours/week). Six awards target youth entrepreneurs; one is designated for an emerging Black entrepreneur and one for an emerging Indigenous entrepreneur. Applicants must complete two Futurpreneur workshops (Rock My Business Plan and Rock My Cash Flow) before applying. The 2026 deadline is June 26, 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident aged 18–39 as of June 26, 2026
- Business is pre-launch (pre-revenue) OR a part-time side hustle (fewer than 30 hours/week AND under $25,000 annual sales)
- Anyone who was operating a FULL-TIME business prior to July 1, 2025 is ineligible — including applicants who have since scaled back below 30 hours/week
- Cannot have received a Futurpreneur Canada start-up loan before July 1, 2025
- Must have completed both the Rock My Business Plan and Rock My Cash Flow workshops within the award cycle's window (July 7, 2025 to May 28, 2026 for the 2026 awards), or one of the in-person Rock My Business Plan & Cash Flow workshops held in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa or Montreal
- Submissions must use the award-specific Business Plan and Cash Flow templates — these are NOT the standard Futurpreneur templates, and applications received in the wrong template will not be reviewed
- Ineligible sectors: alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, gambling/gaming, firearms
- Award funds cannot be used for existing debt repayment

For the 2026 cycle, workshops must be completed between July 7, 2025 and May 28, 2026. Note: the workshop completion window for 2026 has now closed — participants who did not complete workshops by May 28, 2026 will need to wait for the 2027 cycle.

Decisions are made after the June 26, 2026 deadline. Winners are typically announced in July 2026, with funds disbursed shortly after.
Do I need to complete workshops before applying?
Yes — both Rock My Business Plan and Rock My Cash Flow, completed within the cycle's window (July 7, 2025 to May 28, 2026 for the 2026 awards), or one of the in-person combined workshops held in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa or Montreal. Completing them outside that window does not count.
