What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
Fixed per-unit incentives from Enbridge Gas for Ontario commercial, industrial, institutional and multi-unit residential customers who install qualifying high-efficiency natural gas equipment. Published incentives cover HVAC, building-envelope, controls and heat-recovery measures — for example $200 per adaptive thermostat, up to $6,000 per air curtain, up to $4,000 per destratification fan and up to $18,000 per hybrid rooftop unit. The incentive cannot exceed 50 percent of the project cost or $100,000 per project.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an Enbridge Gas customer with an account in good standing
- Installation must be at a commercial, industrial, institutional or multi-unit residential premises in Enbridge Gas's Ontario natural gas service territory
- The customer must be the owner of the applicable energy-efficient equipment
- Equipment must be a qualifying measure on Enbridge Gas's 2026 Commercial and Industrial Prescriptive Incentive list, and meet that measure's published technical requirements
- The Enbridge Gas incentive offer must have influenced the customer's decision to proceed with the improvement
- Application and supporting documents must be submitted no later than Dec. 31, 2026
- Multi-unit residential incentives apply to buildings exceeding 600 m2 in building area or exceeding three storeys, per the Ontario Building Code residential occupancy classification
- High-volume projects (more than 10 units) are reviewed on a per-project basis for incentive approval
