What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
Non-repayable seed funding of up to $20,000, matched by the business, for early stage southern Ontario companies developing green products, services or processes, or redesigning existing ones to cut their environmental impact. Participants also get up to 30 hours of fully funded expert support and a University of Guelph online certificate place. Delivered by six Regional Innovation Centres and funded by FedDev Ontario.
Eligibility Requirements
- Early-stage business or SME with 1–499 employees.
- Headquartered in Southern Ontario.
- Incorporated in Ontario or federally.
- Founder or owner working full-time in the business.
- Scalable product or service.
- One or two leadership team members available to participate in an online University of Guelph certificate program.
- Commitment to developing or redesigning green or circular-economy products, services, processes or technologies.
- Non-repayable seed funding up to $20,000 per selected business; matching funds required.
- Up to 30 hours of fully funded targeted support from business leaders.
