What this program funds and who can apply
Program Description
Provides five $10,000 non-dilutive cash grants per competition cycle to Canadian entrepreneurs, with two competition cycles per year (an in-person event in Toronto in June and a virtual national event in November). Part of a 3-year, $300,000 committed partnership between Pizza Hut Canada and Startup Canada running 2024–2026, with explicit priority to equity-deserving and underrepresented entrepreneurs.
Eligibility Requirements
- Canadian entrepreneur or business owner (must be a Canadian resident operating a Canadian business)
- All sectors eligible, but there is a revenue band: annual revenues of at least $50,000 and no more than $400,000 CAD, and the business must have had a product or service in market for at least two years
- Applicant must BE a member of an equity-deserving and/or racialized and underserved community — the source states this as a requirement, not a preference
- Application spots are limited and fill on a first-come basis — apply immediately when each cycle opens
