Funds Business Improvement Areas, business associations, and non-profit organizations to create vibrant outdoor dining districts through temporary platforms, parklets, streetscape enhancements, and programming. Stream 1 is closed; Stream 2 (up to $100,000 for legacy projects) is accepting applications.
Eligibility Requirements
- Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) — primary eligible applicant type
- Non-profit organizations and business associations focused on dining district development
- For-profit businesses cannot apply directly (Stream 2 is BIA/non-profit only)
- Stream 2 Legacy Projects: applicant must contribute minimum $100,000 through financial and in-kind contributions
- Projects must be located in Toronto
- Priority given to projects in areas outside downtown and inner suburban neighbourhoods with fewer existing CaféTO curb lanes (Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke priority)
