Program Description

New grant program announced April 16, 2026 as part of the Department of Tourism, Heritage and Culture's Budget 2026 increase. Allocates $300,000 to help New Brunswick tourism operators create and enhance market-ready tourism experiences that strengthen the province's competitiveness in priority markets. Part of the government's strategy to grow annual provincial tourism revenues by $1 billion (to $3.7 billion) within five years. Explore NB publishes it as the Tourism Experience Development Program, with online applications through the Explore NB portal.

Eligibility Requirements

  • New Brunswick-based tourism operator or experience provider
  • Project must create a new market-ready tourism experience OR enhance an existing one
  • Project must align with one or more program priorities: address market gaps, support year-round and shoulder-season visitation, advance Indigenous tourism development, or promote regenerative tourism
  • Applicant must be in sound financial standing with no outstanding obligations to the Government of New Brunswick
  • Awarded funding must be spent on the project by March 1, 2027
  • In operation for a minimum of 12 months
  • Offers a tourism experience available for more than 120 days per year
